Collecting some sap!

Collecting some sap!

Greetings, friends! It’s been a little while, but Olive Oyl is back and ready to report some news. While it may not look like it (there’s still a whole bunch of snow–check out the photos!), it seems that the end of winter may be near. The days are getting longer and the snow is receding. The huge piles of snow that remain have been shoveled from the roofs of buildings…pretty crazy! Despite the cold, there’s still plenty of fun to be had on camp. Carmi and Phillie have been staying on camp with their dog Luke, who’s been helpful in collecting tree sap. Raw material for some delicious maple syrup! It won’t be too long until our glorious summer breakfasts of pancakes and french toast, where we can rightfully enjoy the winter’s harvest of maple syrup.

Friday marks the first day of spring, and that means we’re just a little bit closer to another amazing summer here at HVC! We’re busy hiring new staff, prepping our PD team, and already putting new ideas in motion for the upcoming sessions. We can’t wait!

Hopefully my next update will feature a warmer and less snowy Hidden Valley!

Until then,

Olive
