Hi all, happy November and Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope that everyone has been enjoying the new season in good company.

At HVC, we are so thankful for everyone — counselors, staff, and of course, campers and families — who make the magic of HVC possible. One thing (of so many!) that makes our community so special is building meaningful connections with people from different backgrounds at camp.

That said, we are always striving to give the camp experience to those for which it is less easily accessible. In this effort, our Level Ground Scholarship fund — a program that has been previously implemented to great success and that will continue this year –– helps HVC host campers from our local county, from 1st and 2nd generation immigrant families living in Maine, and from our local indigenous community.

Warmly inviting the participation of new alongside returning folks, we are so grateful for the contributions that help us achieve our goals of offering an increasingly diverse and inclusive community and of making camp accessible.

Accordingly, tax-deductible donations to HVC via the ACA can be submitted starting here, which are all currently matched x2 and thus go a long way towards supporting these campers!

We can’t wait to see everyone this summer, and in the meantime, we hope that everyone’s winters are, regardless of temperature, full of warmth :)
