Seasons greetings from HVC!

December, meaning winter (brrr…) is upon us! Besides welcoming all the snowfall, this time of year also means getting camp ready for winter.

Indeed, the arrival of snow calls for lots of work! Our industrious winter maintenance crew has been busy with arrangements including reinforcements, repairs and painting jobs across camp.

Meanwhile, our HVC crew has been busy cleaning, ensuring that camp is physically in the best shape for the white-covered months. We’ve been working down at the creek to ensure that as the snow melts everything “flows” along as planned. Winter creek time is fun!

As per seasonal tradition, the pool has also been covered, and camp vehicles have moved into their winter home: the Rec Hall! The Llamas are up to their same old antics and seem to enjoy the crisp air, and Hamilton is hanging out with them as usual.

As for April and Wes, they have been hard at work planning and preparing for this coming summer, including speaking with families, for which we can hardly wait.
