Wrapping it Up!

We’re almost at the end of the summer, and we have a few more updates before we can officially sign off on another great session.
We start things off with a Lazy Day update! The younger half of camp headed to the bowling alley for a day of candlepin bowling, while the older half remained on camp for some classic Lazy Day activities. Later that evening, we gathered in our crazy creeks for this session’s play.
The final class day gave everyone one more opportunity to learn, create, and put the finishing touches on all of our projects. We also enjoyed another lunchtime live performance from the Rock Band class before coming together for Sharing Night later that evening.
Another Lazy Day followed, and this time, the whole camp headed to the movie theatre before returning to camp for this session’s musical, Into the Woods!
Fair Day, as always, started with an early morning for all the campers and counselors taking part in our annual Fun Run. We then headed to the basketball courts for the Camper vs. Counselor Basketball Game. The campers came out in style, taking a 12-point lead early in the first quarter and maintaining their dominance throughout the game before comfortably securing a 45–29 victory.
The basketball game was only the beginning of the day’s festivities, though! We spent the rest of the morning in the backyard going down the water slides, eating corndogs, jumping in the bouncy house, enjoying popcorn, licking ice cream, grabbing some fried dough, dancing to music, and, most importantly, just having fun!
Fair Day was then followed by a performance from our horse program campers in the Brumby Show! We then headed to the Rec Hall to watch presentations from some of our Apprentices, who put together a stage performance and a short film.
This was followed by the Video Show, where we got to watch all the class videos from this session, along with the highlight videos capturing some of our favorite moments from the summer.
We concluded the night with even more dancing as we gathered in the backyard for the Fair Day Dance!
And just like that, we’re almost at the finish line. What a summer it has been
