The Final Two!

We’re into our final two weeks of Summer 2026, and the countdown is on. In 11 days, our campers will be heading home to families across the country and around the world. Our counselors, too, will be saying goodbye to what has been their home for the past — almost — 12 weeks.

Saying goodbye will be bittersweet. But before we get there, there are still plenty of memories to make, stories to tell, and adventures to be had. And these past few days have certainly delivered!

We kick things off with HVA, who have been making the most of their trips this session. They’ve taken on Rangeley, camped out at Baxter, explored Camden on a day hike, and most recently returned from hiking and summiting Mt. Katahdin!

With beautiful weather and plenty of smiles along the way, they tackled the 3.3-mile Chimney Pond Trail up to the Saddle and all the way to Baxter Peak, gaining approximately 3,780 feet of elevation along the way. After making it back to camp, they enjoyed a few well-earned days of rest before heading out again this morning for another adventure. We wish them all the best and can’t wait to welcome them back to camp with even more stories to share!

Back at camp, the final day of classes was as terrific as ever. We enjoyed lunch accompanied by a Rock Band performance before heading outside the Rec Hall for Sharing Night! But before that, camp’s favourite cuisine — Baby Food! — made its grand return, and of course, the Big Ladle came out for the occasion.

Pajama Day was as lazy as ever, as we gave a warm embrace to some of our campers saying goodbye, while also waving hello to new campers joining us for the rest of the summer! We had class sign-ups, plenty of fuzzy time, and a whole lot of lounging before the Half Moon Jug Band lifted our spirits in the evening with another groovy visit.

Yesterday, we kicked off another block of classes before diving into electives in the evening. And tonight? There’ll be prizes to be won, faces to be pied, and plenty of people doing their very best not to say the magic word

That’s right — camp’s favourite game show is back: the Wheel of Misfortune!

With only two weeks left, the summer isn’t slowing down just yet. If anything, we’re STILL getting started.
