Nine to Go…

There’s now officially less than 10 days till the end of the second session and the end of Hidden Valley summer ‘25 :(

After nine days, we’ll be looking back at all the memories we’ve made throughout the summer, some of which I am about to tell you right now, so listen up…

We start things off, by switching them around…BAZINGA! This session’s edition was no different to last session…it was flled with fun and surprises. At evening meeting, campers closed their eyes for a short while, whilst counselors moved around the crowd and settled down next to their new cabin for the night, after that campers reopened their eyes and got to see which counselor they had taking care of them for the duration of dinner and the evening activities! The younger half cabins spread out across camp playing predator-prey whilst the four oldest cabins were locked into a great water balloon fight in the backyard. At the end of the activities, we all met back at the gazebo and switched back to our original cabins before calming our energies and heading to bed.

The next day was even more high energy and exciting. We made our way to a remote island (the rec hall) and spun THE WHEEL! Campers took part in a series of games that required teamwork, speed, wits, and a sense of humour, whilst also being careful not to say the magic word!

The last Electives of summer 2025 brought the same good vibes as every other electives night we’ve had. We did yoga in the Foothills studio, made jewelry in the Hilton Hitching Post, went down the hill zip, swam at the pool, played Capture the Flag, rolled down the hill, and tried to break a Nalgene bottle! (it took everything, but eventually, rock [cinder block] beat plastic).

BUT, not only did we have a great Electives, we had an even better Junk Food Day! Calories don’t matter on this day and vegetables have no place on the menu! And dessert? More junk food.

This morning we got a visit from the Mad Scientist, who put on an exciting show for the younger cabins on camp whilst the older half rolled down to the bowling alley for some Candlepin Bowling. In just a few hours, we’ll meet in the backyard for Valleyfest! An evening programme where campers show of their really cool, and really hilarious talents.
