Again, Once More, For the Last Time
It’s Class Day One again! This time, it’s for the last time this summer :(
We also welcomed a few new campers during yesterday’s Pyjama Day Lazy Day, and said goodbye to a few two-week campers! We hope to see all of them again in 2026 :)
We’ve had a stretch of really hot weather over the last few days, but that did not stop everyone in the valley from having fun. We had our sunscreen and water bottles in hand, ready to go! A few nights ago we all enjoyed another great night of Capture the Flag as we normally do on Electives nights. We also had karaoke and lip sync battles in the Rec Hall and Foothills Studio, made some really cool tie-dye shirts in the Buckhorn, baked some cookies in the Red Barn kitchen, zipped down the Hill Zip, made some really cool glass beads, and built a mega jig-saw puzzle. But, that’s not all we did on the day! Earlier in the day, during Interest Groups, we were sat at the tennis courts to watch the pickleball tournament!
The following day was another action-packed adventure. We woke up reaaaallllyyy early for JAKE DAY!! Which is a day where we all meet at the bottom of the Hill in our cabin groups for our cabin photo and video, and after that, we took a mass, all-camp photo just after breakfast. At noon, we were graced with a performance by the Rock Band whilst we enjoyed our lunch in the backyard.
At the end of the day, we made our way to the Rec Hall for Sharing Night as we got to see the really cool things everyone had been doing and learning in their classes.
Yesterday was even cooler and more exciting as we welcomed back Kim and Reggie Harris to Hidden Valley Camp. The weather was a bit chilly, but they made sure we were warmed up with their fire performance!
