It’s Class Day 4!

We’re six days into the session (four days into classes) and a lot has happened over the course of the week. Campers started attending their classes, the sports areas have new athletes, the beehive and glass beads studio welcomed new artists, the play and musical cast have started with their rehearsals, and everyone is having fun at R-O-P-E-S (Ropes!).

On Wednesday, July 23rd, which was also class day 2…we enjoyed another edition of Cabin Feud! a really fun ‘game show’ where cabins, counselors, and AWACs, go head-to-head at answering a few questions — Family Feud style! These varied in theme and relevancy to camp-life at HVC. The survey says this was a really fun and exciting evening programme and everyone had a blast participating!

The following night was Electives night and we all sat at the bottom of the hill like we always do and listened to all the electives the counselors had in store for us. We played Kncokout at the basketball courts, gave the Green Pig a little wash, had a dance party at the rec hall, and made pizza amongst other things.

Yesterday was another trip-lazy day and like all other lazy days, it was one full of thrills and chills! The younger half of camp spent their morning on camp doing themed lazy day activities, and the theme of the day was Hydration Day! This means water fountains, slip-and-slides, water balloon fights, getting dunked with buckets, and every other water-related thing you can think of. While this was happening, the older half took a trip to Bangor for the State Fair! It was a rollercoaster of a day, and at the end, we all met back in the backyard and jammed to music from another HVC-favourite, Jesse Ruben! We sled, we rode, we sang, and we clapped, but most importantly, we all had FUN!
