Five In!
We're officially five class days in—just one week since Arrival Day—and it's already been a week full of adventure, laughter, and unforgettable memories!
The weather has certainly turned up the heat, but that hasn't stopped camp spirits from staying just as high, with every evening programme bringing something exciting to look forward to.
Wednesday night saw us battle in another edition of Cabin Feud! where the campers, AWACs, and staff all brought their quiz-show knowledge to the test, hoping to get their answers on the survey board. And after mutliple rounds, plenty of laughs, and surprising responses, the campers walked off with all the spoils and bragging rights!
The excitement (and heat) continued the following day after another busy class schedule, as campers headed off to their electives. Some cooled off in the pool, others soared down the zipline, crafted colorful beads in the Glass Bead Studio, battled it out on the basketball courts in Knockout, raced across camp during Capture the Flag, and explored so many more activities that made the evening a memorable one.
After all that, a Lazy Day was exactly what everyone needed. We kicked it off with a trip to the roller rink as the younger half of camp went through a series of obstacles and fun games in the Amazing Race, before we all spent the rest of the day cooling off at the pool. We wrapped up the day with an engaging and entertaining magic show that left all of us in awe!
It was back to regular programming the following day as we headed into class day 4 — but the highlight of the day had to be our first ever Flag Dance celebration. We all came together at the Rec Hall field, campers and staff, to celebrate the Fourth of July with music, dancing, flag drawing, face painting, and plenty of spirit. It was a great way to close off our first week at camp, and a highlight of what a great summer is yet to come!
