Lots of Snow and a New Friend at HVC!

Sunday, February 19th, 2017

Hey there, Hamilton!

Good afternoon, HVC-ers! Special reporter Olive Oyl here with a February dispatch for all you lovely folks back home. Maybe you’re curled up by the fire sipping hot cocoa, or possibly donning flip flops and breaking out the sunglasses. Who knows these days. Either way, camp is on your minds and I’ve got some exciting news to satiate your hungry imaginations!

Maine is undoubtedly still experiencing winter, with a blizzard this past weekend that gifted 30 inches of snow. It was so windy at times that a white-out effect was created…be sure to check out the photos below! My brain is just buzzing with all the sledding possibilities!

While the storm was a-brewing, a whole other kind of creature was making its way onto camp…

Meet Hamilton, the newest addition to HVC’s animal family! This cutie made sure to stay inside during the storm, bundled up in Deer Meadows with the winter caretakers. We all can’t wait to meet this little guy in person over the summer! Who knows what this piglet’s going to accomplish in his lifetime. Artist? Actor? Politian? Only time will tell…all we know is we can’t wait to love and welcome this new friend into our community.

That’s all for now, friends. I’ll be in touch with more news soon as spring inches closer and we prepare for summer 2017!

Lots of love,

Olive
