Claire doing some gardening on the ropes course!

Claire doing some gardening on the ropes course!

Howdy, folks! Olive Oyl here with an update as pre-camp is coming to a close!

We’ve had a busy day on camp this week, with our horses, ropes, and arts areas setting up for the summer. The horse barn welcomed in many new horses, making the barn nearly-full with almost twenty beautiful horses. Our horse staff has been riding and caring for the new horses, in addition to preparing for teaching lessons this summer.

Yesterday we completed set up for the ropes course, with our ropes director, Seth, and some experienced ropes staff helping out. We even had to do some gardening on the course (check out the photos!) to trim some branches along the zip line. We can’t wait to put all our new and returning staff through the course during staff training!

While it’s been a little chilly here in Maine, it’s still springtime/almost summer, so many gorgeous flowers have been blooming all over camp. Be sure to check out the photos to see some of camp’s lively colors this time of year!

We’ll be sure to check in next week as staff training begins with ropes, waterfront, and horse staff trickling in!

So long,

Olive
